We’re passionate about helping our community grow and making an impact.

The mission.

At AIE Connect, our mission is to revolutionize schools to be equitable and inclusive environments for educators and students. We are committed to dismantling systemic barriers that hinder equal access to education, ensuring that every student has an opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Our goal is to transform organizations into vibrant hubs of innovation, where every educator is valued and respected as their authentic selves, provided with opportunities for collaboration and professional growth.

The work.

As educators, we understand that learning environments and curricula need to awaken curiosity and determination, creating conditions that allow students to make their own discoveries. AIE Connect equips educators and leadership teams with frameworks, practices, and tools that will assist them in

  • Diagnosing how their institutions are structured to uphold the status quo.

  • Adopting strategies aimed at practices that result in an equitable institutional culture and practices.

What we know.

Advocacy

Black students who'd had just one black teacher by third grade were 13 percent more likely to enroll in college—and those who'd had two were 32 percent more likely

Inclusivity

The role model effect seems to show that having one teacher of the same race is enough to give a student the ambition to achieve, for example, to take a college entrance exam.

Education

The importance of gaps in information, expectations, and thus aspirations.
